I placed a (minor) order this AM. From the looks of things its odd and ends and seems to be sensitive to the quantity you order. One item I ordered was a Cadillac air cleaner. I tried to order 3 and it kept defaulting back to one in the input field. Other than that, most of the categories and much fewer pages and it's Parts only. The kit section is completely empty. But yes - last chance. There were some practical/useful items, but few I would miss never being able to get from them.
I haven't decided if there's anything I really need yet, but over on the Modelhaustires.com site it looks like their set up to take orders. Much of that site is still not completed, but all the prices and descriptions and subcategories are set up. I put together a mock order and I got out as far as the billing page and then chickened out.

Good info. Thanks. Last I heard their family members were just starting off slowly with the tires only. Has someone bought the whole operation?

Good info. Thanks. Last I heard their family members were just starting off slowly with the tires only. Has someone bought the whole operation? No, the Holthaus's son who had molded the tires for them for many years is continuing that end of the business. He has set up a new website under the name Modelhaus Tires here: www.modelhaustires.com/ As you can see the most significant change is that there are now photographs of each of the tires. It appears to be tires only, with a small number of offerings including specialty wheels. It's been a slow process to get it up and running. As I commented above, the order taking software seems to be running but since I didn't really need anything for now, and he's still not "officially" open for business, I chickened out on actually placing an order. The Modelhaus that JB reported on is the old outfit which appears to still have some small amounts of stuff to sell. It's that site that I ordered from. I've received a confirmation of my order so now we'll see how long it takes and what they actually send me. It was nothing really important, just on each '57 Desoto and '57 Chrysler grille and bumper sets and the Cadillac air cleaner I mentioned. EDIT: Just as I hit the Reply button on this post I received the following e-mail from Modelhaus. It confirms what I surmised was the situation. Since they refer you to Modelhaustires.com I can only assume he is open for business.

I misunderstood and thought I had missed something.
