Hi all well I've started, going to build the Meilen version. Started on the engines. And got the colour I'm going to use, i may be adding gold go faster stripes to it, not sure yet The eagle eyed among you may notice I've had a weird reaction to the paint on one of the doors (all the rest of the paint work seems to be ok)

I was so fascinated by this project that I did some web crawling and discovered that this is one of a series of Citroen conversions done by a French builder, Pierre Tissier. His firm has done ambulance, utility and transporter conversions of every conceivable Citroen model including DS's, CX's, even XM's and an SM. Here's an English language site which shows quite a few: Oppositelock Pierre Tissier ArticleWith your skills and deep experience with the Heller 1/16th kits this should be killer. One question: why two engines?

Lots of interesting conversions there, thanks Bernard. The kit was the 50th anniversary kit of the ds so comes with a convertible and a saloon car (I will have the convertible on the trailer) hence the 2 engines (it's actually a great value kit as it's only 10 quid more than the standard kit and you get 2 full kits for that)

Hence the green color and the seemingly immediate paint work of what otherwise is a highly complex endeavour. You are in fact building this one:

Did a bit more to the engines Started adding the shackles plates to the bed Wondered how much filling would be needed so added some primer Must say I'm quite pleased so far.

Nice work. Those seats look like real leather.
