I’m sure everyone’s heard of an embarrassment of riches, right? Well, what happens when the riches you have are embarrassing, and they’re so plentiful that you get paralyzed by choice? Well, for one thing, you get what happened to me! At my local show just recently, I hit the vendors hard, and got so many amazing kits that I am a bit stuck for which one to open up and review first! When you’re weighing things like a Firebird station wagon, a four-door Corvette, a BRAT and a Messerschmitt cycle car, it’s not easy to come to a quick decision. So, I’m doing what anyone would do, when staring down the Magnum PI Vanagon and a Suzuki Samurai… I’m asking for help! Check out my awesome score of total automotive oddballs, and give me a hand with a vote for what you want to see as the next out of box car on the Lagoon! Just follow the link below, but be ready… awesomeness awaits! adamrehorn.wordpress.com/model-kits/scores-and-collections/london-model-show-haul-2018/

Put me down for the Firebird wagon! I always wondered if that kit was any good. (I didn't see a poll at the link).

I can't put in votes myself, since I'm the owner of the Poll
However, the Poll is there, at the bottom of the post.
Check again, and you'll see it. The K-Wagon doesn't have any votes yet, so it'll need your support!

Well Adam I do have to say some of those "losers" aren't really losers at all, especially that Messerschmidt kit, that's a fantastic high detail kit of a really kool car. And the BRAT, another nice real life car. Samaris were bitchin little miniature jeeps and would go anywhere so there is another non-loser kit as is that Subaru XT, my one time girlfriend had one and it was a nice little ride.
Now on the LOSER side, certainly that Magnum PI abortion on the VW van qualifies, but nothing even remotely says LOSER in big letter better than a four door Corvette. Those year disco vettes were bad enough, but a four door? Pure loser loser loser. I would include the Fireturkey station wagon also (who in the heck thinks up these things?) but the four door vette just takes the cake for tasteless loser worthless trash.
So if I get to the actual poll, that's some clue as to how I would vote. Any way you slice it though, you are well qualified to put the best foot forward of even the most wretched gar-bage Detroit could spew forth. No wonder the place is a wasteland these days.

Hey Ron: I don't get it. This is what I see when I go there... Of course, I'm on a home computer, not a phone.

Poll comes through loud and clear for me. That brings up a quandary though: should I vote for the biggest loser (in my mind of course and I think ive already made clear my choice on that criteria) or should I vote for the kit I most want to see you build (or review or whatever...which would be the Messerschmitt by a long shot)? So I went with the biggest loser, not that I have any real interest in seeing what was in the box. But I have the Scmitt so I could look at mine, got the BMW Isetta High Tech kit too.
And the XT I was referring to earlier, that is the Alcyone, I guess maybe that was what they were called in japan or outside the usa. My friends was not a turbo though, and that kit is. Also I think you are right about the scale of the Sammy...I think it is closer to 1/20 and I think I may have even seen it boxed as a 1/20 as well at some point.
Another fun one Adam, and I hope to follow this when you proceed with the lucky loser!

What will you do if it ends in a tie?? The only democratic thing. Unilaterally pick one.

Here is your "proper" Isetta: that's the low tech kit, slightly augmented. I have since bought the high tech kit and plan on building that soon. Don't be scared of the clear body, masking it aint that difficult. Just remember your base coat, or primer, will be visible on the inside of the shell. Build the Messerschitt, its the most interesting kit you got there. jb
