Hey everyone, been away for awhile now, cleared the work bench of ALL projects except this one. Just have to make up my mind whether I want a SBC or Hemi. Needs something to be different, any suggestions? I'm open to them!!!!!!

My first thought was BBC with dual carb tunnel ram but an old school Hemi would be cool too.

Thanks for the replies. NOTHING wrong with a healthy SBC, just not "different" and your so right about the hemi...I have a 55 Nomad set up the same way with a big block with tunnel ram {that needs to be finished}. SO, I'm thinking why not do a STRAIGHT SIX with either six injector stacks or maybe a blower? Results soon.. I hope.

Maybe even a Caddy?

I think Ron said just what I was going to. Either Olds Rocket, Cadillac or Pontiac SD mill would be really different. I'd also ditch the plan of using a Hemi as it's way too common engine for Gassers. SBC would be very cool, even though those are pretty common as well. But, maybe my #1 choice would be SBC with six or eight carburetors. That would be a bit different, even though the engine itself is not.
