I see that this is not a good place to put anything but rods! But as we don't see that many in the UK, I might as well log out for a while!

Not necessarily true. Personally, I'd like to see more comments on models profiled, but that's just me. Cobra's are pretty killer, and you did a great job on yours. I bought a Borago Cobra several years ago. It's a metal body, but I painted the parts that came with it. I kept it British Racing Green.

Nicely built. I always liked the almost severe purposefulness of the Essex cars' black and white paint scheme. Is this 1/24th Monogram kit re-issued under the Fujimi name, or is this a Fujimi kit which was later marketed by Monogram under license? I ask because Fujimi has a reputation for particularly well detailed and engineered kits. From the looks of your sanitary and precisely executed example this would be one of those finely detailed kits. I see that this is not a good place to put anything but rods! But as we don't see that many in the UK, I might as well log out for a while! While DPMCC is growing it is still a relatively small group with not that many core active members who comment regularly. This is the downside of relatively intimate forums like this one. But DPMCC's function is to be a general interest car modeling forum, so whether it's your Mehari or a sports racer like this Essex Wire Cobra, these are, and should be, an integral part of the mixture of auto models we all can enjoy. S0me of us build more rods than anything else, but that doesn't diminish our interest in other types of automobiles as well. It's important, however, for us to communicate that interest when the occasion presents itself. I encourage you to stick around and see what happens.

That's a good looking Cobra! I've never seen that kit before, so good to know that there's one available. I think you did a great job on it. Even the decals went on smoothly, which is not always the case with those too thin decals. Nicely done build.

I love it Patrick!! But do have a soft spot for AC Cobras! Your Meyers Manx builds, and other dune buggies you have built are still my favorites though!
