Well, it does look precisely like the box art now, but I always liked the fact that you used a rarely seen optional part when you did the first iteration. Either way it's as nice a rendition as one can hope to see. I guess you'll just have to build another one with the gas tank... . It's often said about this model that the wheels and tires, and, to a lesser degree, the headers and the turtle deck/tank options, are sorely missed in the subsequent versions. They appear to be lost for ever... Those particular parts really do make the model, which is by far the best period replica of the Tommy Ivo half of the two dominant threads of T-bucket evolution, the other half being the Norm Grabowski car eventually known as the Kookie T.

Perfect change Bob. Looks great. The tank would look best on a Little Rod build......I have one of those planned and I have everything but Part #R 71 and I need to figure out the rear wheels and headers.

Good to hear you've got a Little Rod planned , I've got the parts on my bench to build one right now ! The headers will have to be fabbed but I've got a set of unknown origin that will give me the correct bends in the tubes coming off the engine . And for the rear wheels I'm thinking of using ones from the Li' Coffin , pretty sure they have separate center caps . Guess I need to open one of my kits and double check . I've even got some decals made up . Send me your address , I can send you a R71 . I've got a couple extra .

The SweetTea has headers that are pretty dead on for the Big/Little Rod. I built the Little T with the turtle deck myself built a "Little Drag" and got a "Little Rod" on the drawing board, just have to find a SweeTea for the headers! Then a "Little Tub" to complete the set! jb

At first glance they may look like the Big Rod headers but if you take a closer look they really aren't the same .

well then that saves me a bunch of money, that SweeTea monstrosity doesn't come cheap and it doesn't do a thing for me esthetically speaking!

Cool pix fer sure! I still have my ancient "BIG ROD" that came in yellow plastic. I agree on the short bed instead of the brass gas tank. Good luck!

The first version was already looking very good, but now the updated version is even better! Very nice work with the Little T, these Box Art Builds are always really cool so I can't wait to see more of them.
