Building this for the "Radwood" buildoff over at the MCM forum. A buildoff for 80s and 90s cars done in a style that represents the era, may it be stock or custom.... I did choose a Monogram Lotus Esprit S3 turbo, in my eyes it surely screams "80s" like almost nothing else. Bought this paint for it. (I admit that the childhood dream of a yellow Esprit may have something to do with it... ) Engine and gearbox glued and painted.

I'm intrigued, seeing as I'm not familiar with your build, on another forum.

Quite a nice engine in this kit! This model is said to have problems with the suspension sitting too high. The easiest way of solving it is to cut down the frame tunnel to allow it to slide up further in the body. So I did such a modification which seems to have turned out well.

Chassis glued together, painted and sectioned to get rid of the almost 4x4-like ride height it gets out of the box.

Clever idea to trim the tunnel. It's easier than fiddling with the suspension, but sometimes things like engine clearance in a tight fitting kit can creep up. Wish u well in your progress!
