Good color match! From here looks like the molded plastic.

Hi Bob, Thanks for the reference photos of the blower parts and wheels. These are the parts from the Hairy Olds, and the belt from the T'rantula. I think the scoop is exact, the blower needs some trimming, and the belt is slightly different. Here I trimmed the blower up some, it needs a final fit to the engine, but I think it will work. It looks like the SweeTee spokes are a little fatter on the rims, than the Circus Wagon? I put together some clones, but I have hijacked your thread enough. LOL You're making great progress, can't wait to see more. Jim

Good color match! From here looks like the molded plastic. Some of it's paint and some of it's plastic . I'm not real happy with the scoop , thinking about trying it again .

I double checked and they are the same , I think the nicer chrome makes them look different in the pics .

I really didn't like the way the wheels attached to the chassis with just a small stub into a hole in the inner wheel , it was very flimsy and the wheel didn't fit snugly against the backing plate . The fix was to remove the center of the inner wheels and glue the wheel directly to the backing plate . I didn't get any real good photos of it but the fit is much stronger and better looking this way . All four wheels were done and by removing the inner star the finished wheel has a much better/thinner look .

Hi Bob, This is looking really good, and your photos are helping me a lot with my clone parts. I like that you painted the drums black behind the wheels. Weird, I always thought that these rims were supposed to stagger, but when I put the Circus Wagon rims together, I saw that they line up. Now that I see yours, I know they are right. Here are the clones I was able to put together from your info. The top ones are the Circus Wagon and the bottom are the clones. They are made from the AMT Double Dragster (and many other kits) Halibrands. And now I need to work on the elusive headers. Speaking of which, (if you haven't already) don't forget to paint your header flanges on the heads. LOL Looking forward to the next episode of "Building with Bob" Jim

I removed the alignment pins on mine to try and line up the spokes better but they were still off just enough to notice . Although not box stock I like how they look with the inner spokes removed . Thanks for pointing out the header flanges , I would have missed them . . . now they're done !

The box art shows yellow seats with black inserts so first a white base is painted then I mixed some more yellow to match the plastic . The rest of the interior is left black .

wow just saw this thread and it answers my age old question: where to find Big Rod headers! Course this kit is about as scarce, but at least there is a source! About the cut down grille shell on the Big Rod, its the same one that was included with the Big T back then, and probably almost for sure in all the reissues since. This grille shell, used here on a Big Tub I built: But those headers...got me going again on making a Little Rod! I already did a Little Drag and Little T. This SweeTee is really looking great! jb
