Got this Hubley last week.. couldn't stop myself from get at it! Going to be a pushcar for some frontengine dragster/s. Recorecting some issues: Roofheigth for start, need some newmaterial (counter chopping is what?) a nasty drop above right B-pillars. Straigthen lines and will add driprails. More to come.. "Bucket" is not my friend!! Had to fool it a lot to get these..

No delivery, these are plasticard/evergreen glued at inside for stability and actually fill gaps against interior. Will cut them around frames when all is placed. The 1½ mark mean the difference at a real car would be 1½ inch, quite a bit!

..by the way! Do any of U know how to get rid of the chrome undercoat layer. Chrome is'nt the problem.. undercoat is. Having this issue with older revell also. I normally use ovencleaner to remove any paint or chrome. Othervise in a bath in brakefluid.

This is a very interesting project, those Hubley kits are very rare so great to see one being built! Looks like you're doing a very nice job so far. I like the drip rails you added to the roof, looks a lot better than it did before.
I'd like to hear the answer on that chrome undercoat problem. So far the only way has been sanding it away, but of course that's not possible with all parts...

Well.. all my objects seems to grow in any direction possible. My intention for the Wagon where a puschcar for some (got parts for at least 15 different) frontengine rail jobs. But using the trailer in pic without narrow the same that would not be a good idéa. I have done such a trailer before.. Yes, I have other trailers to use. I can't explain why I decided to keep this with the Wagon, but now there is a "Orange Crate" reissue from '89 to be hauled..

Now that's going to be a great combination! I like the subtle mods and additions you made to the body and interior to more "accurize" them.

That "up-chop"* is very nicely done. I like your push car idea. As for the plating undercoat, I don't know about Hubley plastic but I've had good luck with Westley's Blech-Wite whitewall cleaner (old formula -- I've heard that the current one has revised formula that might not work as well, if at all).

Tnx.. still on the bench. Actually a lot of issues with cleaning up the '32 to even get a decent mockup. Putty/sanding and trying to have it straight to measure where I'd like parts to be. Soon in primer I hope..

Very cool Robert. I like what you're doing here. I put the 'crate together in my imagination using the painted parts you show here and it looks great!

hey great job on that orange crate, I always loved that body and recently used one myself. The chassis looks super nice in that red too, way nicer than the chrome it came in, plus I am sure you cleaned up the mold lines that are so bad on it. Looks great. Tow vehicle (which I know is the subject here) is looking great too, will be an ideal truck for pulling the trailer and car!
