This is our "Bad Brit" ........... a 1948 English Ford 1/4 ct Panel Van .............. it was an old Gasser back in the '60's and '70's .................. it took us 5-1/2 years to convert it from a drag car into a street rod
It is powered by a 327 cubic inch small block out of a 1965 Corvette ........ double hump "fuelie" heads, Comp cam and kit, Pete Jackson gear drive, Hedman headers, and a custom shroud built by Alan Shadwick in New Zealand covering the 600cfm Edelbrock carburetor .............. it dyno'ed at 377 horsepower @ 5200 rpm ........ the engine is backed by a TurboHydro 350 with B&M converter and clutches ............. the rear end is a 9" Ford holding a 3.50:1 gearset
The paint color is Chevrolet Aqua Blue Metallic , the wheels are ET slots from Team 3 wheels, 15x4 in the front and 15x12 in the rear, tires are 145R15 Michelins in the front and S375-60x15 Pro Tracs in the rear
The little car weighs 2,488 pounds and is really a kick to drive ............. we tried to keep it looking as much like an old '60's Gasser as we could because that's what it was
