Thank you! I actually built that for a friend that's into Oldsmobiles. 1940 Willys. This is the first one I used 2K clear on. I wasn't sure how it would turn out, but I'm happy with it. In fact, I have 3 bodies waiting for clear coat. Coupe 9 by Coupe 8 by Coupe 7 by Coupe 6 by Coupe 4 by

Botched Sox & Martin 1967 Plymouth.
I had this nicely painted with decals applied. Sprayed the clear, and it crinkled like no tomorrow! Rather than spend more money on decals than the model cost, I just went with a "Weekend Warrior" build. Something you might drive to work, then remove a few things and go racing. I tried my hand at doing a believable vinyl top using a course black spray by Rustoleum, I believe. Before I sprayed it, I stretched out black thread across the roof to simulate the seams. I'll probably put the door handles on before I put it on the shelf. I've never been real comfortable with that as my hand has never been that steady. I'm not real happy with the way the rear bumper fits (or is designed to fit.)

HOT ROD Magazine/Mustang Funny Car.
I wanted to start this with a review of the model. It was released in 2013 by MPC. Now, I don't remember paying much attention to manufacturers back as a kid, but I sure will now. I just kind of rated them as Revell, being the hardest to build, then AMT and MPC followed. The instructions weren't as clear as they could have been. I found myself guessing where certain parts went. The decal sheet somehow had part of the lower red side stripe broken loose and laying over the upper red stripe partially covering a sponsor. I couldn't remove it without damaging the upper portion. There was a lot of flashing on the parts. The inside of the wheels had a thick "+" to prevent the wheels from being crushed, I guess. It was overkill. One of the wheelie bar was severely deformed as well. I have a Connie Kalitta funny car to build, and it looks to be an identical kit with different decals. Hope I can remember what to look for when I get around to building it.

It looks like I have to upload all my other photos. 1969 Hurst/Olds in black. 19" or 20" scale wheels. I didn't do much detailing on the engine. When I was cutting headlights off of the spruce, one shot off into oblivion. I used jewels from HB. I still have to put the mirrors on. I found this after I started the build. This is the exact style I was shooting for, but it didn't come out as planned. Thanks, Mr. Fish! This is the Don Fink Speedwagon model, with me taking artistic license (it's supposed to be blue). I bought this for cheap and originally intended to use it for kit bashing. I'm not really sure why that didn't happen. All I knew was that I was all of a sudden building it! It was hard fitting pieces before hand, so it didn't really "fit" as I think it should have once I was actually assembling it. Too big a gap between body and chassis, only on driver side. Something was keeping it from sitting flush, but I don't know what it was.
