Welcome to the extended DPMCC 2019 CBP !
The theme is Finish it!
I know it's late so that's why we decided to take an abandoned project out of the shadows and finish it up.
I know you all have at least one and we have until the end of the year so let's get started!

I'll kick it off with mine. An old Monogram 55 Chevy that I'll be using some original custom parts on including the bubble top. Here's where I am with it just taking out of the box from a long slumber. The wheels and tires are from the 'Lil Coffin kit

This project is just for me as I restarted my '64 Thuderbolt project that has been sitting several years collecting dust... This is going to be a "Could have been" Super Stocker from the '60s so there's no real car that I'm trying to replicate. Just something that could have raced back then. The Revell kit itself is pretty good, so this will be pretty much box stock build with added detailing and a few corrections here and there. But overall, I'm trying to keep it simple so that I could finish it this year. This is how I built the engine before the project got stalled. There are a few things I want to do better, but overall it looks decent. And now I have started working on the interior. That light brown was a pain to brush on, as the Humbrol paint required several coats before it covered that white plastic. The end result is not perfect, but I guess it'll do as this is no Convertible. Roll bar is a mixture of Monogram '57 Bel Air and styrene rod. Rear wheels and tires are from the kit, only the tire texts are aftermarket items. This is where I am at right now. I'll keep you posted as I make progress.

Monogram '55 Chevy was one of my first custom models, back when it first came out. I never did finish that one so it'll be great to see one here. Thanx!

I have one. A '58 Edsel Gasser, which needs to be finished up. Couldn't decide on a paint job or engine, but may have a plan now. Rusty patina paint job and a Ford 427 engine.

Thanks Ron. Worked on the 427 engine and wheels yesterday. Think I have a plan on the paint colors, but still deciding.

Looking good Niko. Nice detail. Thanks Ron! I'm not completely happy with the engine, or I mean that I could do a bit better now. I'll be doing a couple of fixes to it before it can be installed on place, but still I have to say that it is pretty good like that too. Looks like we have some interesting projects in here! That '55 Chevy looks very good with the bubble top and I've always wanted to see an Edsel Drag Car. Keep them coming guys! Here's a minor update on my Thunderbolt. Seats are glued in place and I made seat belts for the driver too. Belts theirselves are made by Scale Dreams and belt buckles are Model Car Garage's photo etch pieces.

..ok. This where done, the day after purchase in july 1973. Then again some days later, know the story?!? This one somehow survived.. Guess it's time to let it be in a final stage. Had it swiming in different baths about 6yrs ago.. as I found 4 hubcaps at the bay. Did'nt feel this would be stock no more.. so I searched and found the customparts, instead of the high dollar model.. I really would love to build the stock version to. Obvious this is not that one.. I really enjoyed the seats in this model at age 12.. they will remain. Custom seat are among the nicest I've seen, but they are usefull elsewhere.. ..using the first rearlightbar as a custom konsol. As the first hood chrome found a new home further back. Here is where I am right now..
