A bit more work on the engine, at least there is dual quads and headers included, aluminium heads are a quick fix with the brush and maybe it is strong enough to pull the tyres through the sand now, at least if we expect the engine to be something better than a 1979 305"...

Nice work. I admire your adaptation of the Nova. Allot of times, primer will actually help save coats of paint, by sealing out base colors, such as black and red.

Did some weathering of the tires by giving them a wash in tan....still much work left to do, of course. I found an air cleaner in the parts bin that did fit very well, since the model didn't have one. Also, I did some weathering of the engine, be honest, is it looking any convincing at all? I will paint the fan black, it is too plasticky looking in chrome....

Since the rear axle and leaf springs supplied in the kit are far from good looking, I decided to replace them with parts from the AMT Chevy S10. The axle has the right width and the springs have the correct length. It's hard not to go overboard with weathering the parts, since this is no offroad jeep that has been in a mud hole, but I think this might be good.

Nice weathering on the tire and engine. The last post pics aren't showing for some reason.
