We have a buildoff on a Swedish forum where we have from Christmas eve to new years eve to build a model. I did choose this one. Fresh from the box... I love slots! Cowl induction scoop in place... I will try using this color changing paint on this one.

Body in primer A quick spray with black on the chassis, good enough.... The interior will be light grey, I think that it will look neutral and nice against the flipflop paint. Glued the engine together, will build it quite simple and fast since it's really no interesting engine....

This will be interesting! I've always preferred the standard El Camino front end to this Monte Carlo style nose, but this is not bad either. I'll be looking this one closely and those Slots fit very well under one of these. It's not the easiest kits to work with... I've had this one stalled for a while. Maybe some day I'll continue building it: Oh and those last 4 pics are not working in here. Wonder if anyone else has that same problem or is it just my computer?

No, I have the same problem, which is strange since they are working both on Scaleracers and MCM. Oh well, I will try to see if I can fix it.
Yes, I prefer the standard front end too, this one looks too much like a strange mix of 3rd generation Camaro and the last generation of Opel Rekord.... At least it works better on the Monte Carlo than on the El Camino.

Paint on the body. Turned out really cool with the color-changing effect, but hard to catch in a picture. Flocking on the floor, detailed dash and door panels, and since the stock steering wheel is hideous, it got replaced with a S10 wheel.

Front wheels detailed and mounted, front end lowered as much as possible, going to run stock height in the rear, I believe there will be the right amount of rake then. Interior finished and installed. Bed cover painted to match the interior.

That's looking really good! I like that color scheme a lot, body looks good in that color and the grey interior matches very well to it. Interesting to see how it looks when it's on four wheels.
