I have the 39/40 sedan fenders, grille and hood and have a new coupe body and interior plus other parts coming off ebay so I will have all the parts next week to start building me a 40 standard coupe using all AMT parts. Since I have plenty of green paint left I will build it as a twin to the deluxe coupe I finished last week but a different motor and maybe chrome rims,I am thinking late 50s/early 60s hotrod with a Y block this time. Not sure if the Y block will be stock or 2 4 bbl carbs.

The body and other parts arrived in the mail today but will most likely finish the 36 coupe first, the fenders, grille and hood are from the original early 60s kit with the hood and grille being never installed parts and I think the Y block that I will be using is also from a 60s kit.

I am back on it since I still do not know what color to paint the 36 and the 40 will be a quick build, got the chassis painted and a 40 trans behind the Y block and need to find some stock Y block parts. I am building it to look like someone put a new Y block in it back in 55 or 56.

Coming along nicely. I like your choice of using a Y-block in it.

This is the second 40 that got a Y block but this time I put a original 40 trans on the motor,I also put a Y block in a 49 convertible a few years ago.
