I was going to wipe off the kitchen table, but there was a Nissan lying in the way! And after a quick check in the box, I decided that building it would be almost as quickly done as putting it away. Classic japanese curbside with as many parts as a childs puzzle..... At least I could fool myself into that. And the positive surprise, instead of the boring turbine mags on the boxart, it had those neat looking Ferrari inspired split wheels. Though a bit too plastic looking out of the box. Better after some black detailing! And since RAL2002 "Blutorange" is one of my favourite colours, tada!

Some clearcoat did the colour very good, and as you can see, I did "steer" the front wheels to make the model look a bit more interesting, but man what a boring model to build..... Black interior felt a bit boring, so I decided on this tan-orange-ish shade, not very beautiful but feels correct for the era..... Only the first coat on the picture however. Also, very boring front end on this model, looks like all the boring Datsuns from the late 70s and early 80s as Cherry, Sunny, Stanza etc. To make it stand out a bit more, I painted the grille silver, not sure if it was better or worse.
