Wow, those look like fun! I have never been into these Photo Etch parts because I find them a bit tricky to work with so these might be good tools for practise. You did a great job with these airplanes!

I sell these in my store. If you take your time and be patient you can make really nice stuff from them. They will take paint too.

Nice Planes Bob, I have been building these kits for a few years. I like them because I usually build cars and Motorcycles and these are subject matter that don't often see in kit form. I have actually built three more since this photo was taken, The Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Black Pearl Pirate ship, and the Brooklyn bridge. and have 6 more kits still to build. a couple guitars, a drum set, a piano, the Titanic and a Chinese castle. The Eiffel Tower was the first one I built, I thought it was appropriate being metal. My local Hobby shop carries a good selection of these, they actually have more than this since this photo was taken. By the way Bob, I've seen these painted and I thought they looked terrible, totally took away the integrity of what they are supposed to be, they might as well have been plastic. And they showed all the seams real bad. These are fun to do they are sorta like building models out of razor blades, haha. I also glue mine all together with Zap-A-Gap and accelerator. Your Friend Jim ps: Sorry to Hijack your thread, LOL

Great pictures , thanks Jim ! I was wondering about the paint and already decided I wasn't going to try it . And I'm really impressed with your LHS , it reminds me of the one I shopped at as a kid !

They do look better in metal, but they can take any paint. They are just like any other photo etched parts. Most of the craft stores in my area don't carry them anymore. I wonder why. Great sellers.
