This is really awesome!!! One of my all time favorite ship of any type because of their history and the fact that those little craft played such an important role during WWII and this one looks like it's going be a beauty!! How detailed are you going to be on it? I can see that it is a decent size and I'm new here on this forum, but I've already book marked this thread. I have the large destroyer ( can't recall the name of her right now ) that can be built as a radio controlled model but I have never opened the box. I had to have it when I saw it on the hobby shop shelf probably 20 years ago now, but honestly, I find it a bit intimidating given it's size and how I seem to get in over my head sometimes with wanting to detail things. This just may be what I need to get that kit out and build it."Corvette navy" and "The Little Ships That Saved The Day" are excellent reads for anyone who likes these ships.

Amen, those smaller ships were more important to security and the numbers of them proved essential in covering many theaters of battle. I didn't know it was going to be an actual "sailing" ship, very cool! Good luck.

Rest up, no point in trying to do delicate work when you're not 100%. There are ugly colds/viruses around, I had one too! On the ships, seems to me battery pack itself should be "sealed" in a bag or something. I'll have to check Y.T. for videos, thanx!

Hi all since my bosses husband is buying the Bentley and my boss has commissioned me to build 2 1/48 Tamiya spits and a 1/48 Tamiya Lancaster (her father was an electrical engineer on the lancaster and actually worked on the Concord too)the corvette is going to have to go on the back burner for a while but here is where I am now on her.

Wow, you really are a busy builder with wonderful skills. I luv that you work with different forms of models, but how you can part with creations you put so much time into I could not do. You are a real craftsman who shares both techniques and advice here! Thank you!

I don't have much in the way of skills mate but am happy to share any i do have I don't believe if you find an easier way or a better way of doing something you should keep it to yourself. I have pinched, sorry borrowed most of what you call my skills from other more skilled people than me. But thanks for the compliment.
