You lucky so and so I had a k4 and my mate got a 1100 midnight special import I was so jealous, he let me have a go I nearly wet myself with excitement, handled like a pig but I would happily lopped my right arm off for one. THE most beautiful bike ever made imho.

This is looking good so far. Interesting color combo. (tell us about the colors and brands you are using). Even though I own and ride Harleys, I love all brands of Motorcycles, and have a soft spot for Viragos. When I had my custom MC painting business, I mildly customized one for a customer and got to ride it a lot. What a nice riding bike. All Tamiya kits are nice, and their Motorcycles are superb. I don't have this kit (yet) but I have the rider, I plan to resin cast soon. Looking forward to seeing this one done. Jim public.fotki.com/Jim-Richards/

Thank-You for not crashing this Bike. As a regular Motorcycle rider,(and you have ridden also) I can tell you, there is not a more disgusting sight, than seeing a motorcycle laying on it's side. I read your post where you thought of crashing it, right before we left for our Sunday ride, and it disturbed me the whole time.
This model came out nice. I like the wash you did on the engine to bring out the detail. I also like the photos of it with the cafe in the background, gives it a real UK feel. And as I stated earlier, an interesting color combo.
CHEERS MATE!

Thanks for the comments, yes Jim when I finished it I couldn't bring myself to crash such a beautiful bike(not saying it's beautifully modeled just that the bike is beautiful ) the colour of the tank and panels was mixed up by me with Humbrol metallic blue and a touch of Humbrol signal red, the frame is Tamiya gold the wash over the engine and chrome parts is very thinned down Humbrol matt black, then when dry artist oil burnt sienna thinned right down almost to the consistency of water. Ps my brother is a Jim (well james actually ) but since he hates being called jim, of course that's what I call him unless I really want to get him going, then I call him jimbo

Hi Ken, So do you Airbrush the Humbrol paints? I've never used them before, I have to check, I'm not sure my local hobby shop even carries them anymore. Around here they were mostly used for Railroad modeling. I use mostly Testors, reduced with automotive thinners and add hardener. And automotive urethane clears.
I sent you a PM
