Santa brought me these: That Mustang will be built as a Top Street Drag Car powered by Ford 302 with twin Dominators and NOS. And of course as it is a Street class Drag Racer, it runs with Drag Radials. Pickup will be built as a clean and freshly rebuilt Light Commercial vehicle. I'm planning on starting a WIP thread here on the Pickup at least...

Good haul Niko, looking forward to seeing what you do with them, especially the fox.

Thanks!
I'm really interested in those two kits as well and I had to start working on them as soon as I could. I haven't made much progress though as there have been other things to do as well, but hopefully tonight I can post WIP threads of both of them. And yep, new paint brushes were warmly welcome. Now I can get rid of a couple of old ones that are in quite poor condition...
Here are my inspiration sources for that Mustang:
This is 1400 hp '79 Fox with newer Mustang's aluminum nose. 347 Cid Stroker with a Pro Charger. Unfortunately when racing on an airport surface the driver crashed that Mustang. But now he is building another that will have a single turbo setup and much wider rear tires.
And this other one has been running with a naturally aspirated Small Block Ford for a long time (That engine was absolutely pushed to the limit) and for 2014 the owner installed a Pro Charger in the engine bay. This video is from the first race when he was driving with a mild (?)setup. Later on he ran 8.5 ET with it I guess.

I got a set of those too Ron , and I also thought they looked a little small . But I measured the square decals on my Little T (originals) and they are exactly the same size as these . But the Blue Beetle logo is almost 1/8th " smaller than what was on the restoration I'm working on now , but if I have any problems with my homemade decals I'll still use them as nobody will ever know the difference . These look like very nice decals and it's nice to have them available !

Really good job on a '60s traditional old custom! Except for the seam line that shows on the engine underside, it's a very clean model, thanx!

A Glue Bomb of Jo-Han '71 Barracuda Pro Stock arrived yesterday. I have already restored one of these kits and it was a lot of fun. Now when this was for sale with a really reasonable price, I decided to buy it with plans of restoring it as a Super Stock Drag Car. It's missing some parts also, but that might not be a problem. Yesterday I also bought some styrene rod to complete the roll cage on my Top Street Mustang build.

I don't like the pictures from my tab either. Never seen this kit and had to have it.

That looks like an interesting kit - I've never seen one either. I bought SMP '61 Chevy Fleetside builtup (In the box of a '60 Pickup) yesterday at a Model Car Contest. It is painted and assembled, but in very good condition and it will be built as a Mild Custom. I also bought a set of whitewall tires on '60 DeSoto hubcaps. Tires will be used as front tires in Drag Cars and hubcaps will probably end up being in a Custom Car. I found a cheap set of valve covers, too, so I had to buy them as well. More pics on the Fleetside: public.fotki.com/NostalgicDrag/smp-61-chevrolet-pickup/

The "glue bombs" found at model/toy shows can be real bargains for anyone willing to put in some extra work. Thanx for the fotos and description.

I like those vintage trucks too, especially Chevrolets. I can't remember seeing one of these before so I had to take it with me. With the price tag it had, it was a bargain for sure.

Yet another Little T landed this week. It was mixed in with two other vintage build ups and in the auction title it was labeled as a "mini" T. Not a full on glue bomb but it is a little heavy in some critical places. I got it all for what I consider a decent price. Not sure what I'm going to do with it but I did buy can of yellow paint today and found an original gas tank! That looks alot like the one I rebuilt last year , great score ! I hit the jackpot with a box of parts I received today , enough parts for more than 2 Little T's including the headers !
