I started this build in TRaK, but I'll be finishing it up here because somewhere near the end, if I can get some, I want to put modern Florida Highway Patrol emblems on it. Trying to keep it as Box stock as I can except for engine and running gear. SMC, KKKKKwheels and tires, and a beefier rear end. here, I'm looking at rear end possibilities. Once again, I'm making use of those castings I made from the 41 Woody flathead front plate. They make great motor mounts for these old narrow frames

Great work, Clay. I saw this one on trak, too. As for the Florida State Police decals, Can't you find some vintage ones? Either way, I'll be watching this one.

Don't want vintage ones, Robert. I did find some and will be sending away for them probably monday. Finding it a little more difficult than i thought to stuff my mods in this little package. Had to imagineer a way to hook the rear end up without taking half the tranny off. looks like the rear of the engine is gonna end up right under the dash.

I understand, it was just a suggestion. Looking good. Who needs a firewall in the stock location anyway.

I had to come over here to see the scoop. Looks like a bad copy of a halibrand to me. That thing rides really high, the body roll would be scary.

LOL It looks to be made for dual carbs - there are two round 'seats' on the bottom. I put the rear one over the carb and just let it jut forward. I didn't want to make it too comfortable for the fuzz. left all the antique suspension.

If you can't out run them, you can still out corner them, The engine placement and way the scoop sits forward, looks great.

Got a little more done. In fact, there's not a whole lot to do yet.....and I'm not expecting the FHP decals for another couple of weeks or so.
