I built this from Revell Special Edition kit. It was clear that I'd build a Super Stock Drag Car of it as the kit contained parts and decals for one. I ended up building it with kit parts and some added details. The engine is nicely molded and of course a 409. I added some details on it, for example spark plug wires, carburetor linkages, fuel lines and generator wires etc... The carburetors are painted with a mixture of dirty thinner and Humbrol's Clear Orange to get a correct shade. Chassis is built OOB with a couple of added details. For the interior I added a tachometer and its' cable as well as seat belts. Other details are for example seat pipings that I scraped white after painting the seat. The body is painted by Spray paint by Maston, decaled, cleared and finally polished. I added BMF after polishing on this one. I had no problems in final assembly. Only parts that fought a bit back were grille, front bumper and the body color panel between them, as the panel didn't fit on neither the grille nor the bumper. Anyway I got 'em on place somehow. Some final details include painting some water in radiator overflow bottle (On The Firewall) and scratchbuilt battery mount, Photo Etch Header Flanges etc. Here are some pics of the finished Chevy.

Thanks Guys! I really appreciate the kind words. It was a fun build and now I'm building a '61 Impala OS/S car so it's not hard to guess I like X-Frame Chevrolets !
