My First Model Airplane

First I want to say that this is my first visit to the "Other" section and am amazed at the builds here ! I wish I could reply to each one and I plan on visiting more often !
Now , my first airplane . . . even as a kid I never built one , it was always cars for me , just never was interested . Someone gave me this Aurora Gee Bee Racer a few years ago and I decided to give it a try ! If not for the paint it would've been finished in about an hour ! I had fun painting it and added a small motor from Radio Shack just for the heck of it .
I might try another plane , but plan on sticking with cars for a while .

Same principle as race cars, small with a very big engine! Very nice paint scheme. It really IS a good job, with the thin black edging between red scallops and white body. The battery powered prop is cute and cool, thanx!

Very nice job! Reminds me of the RC version I had and boy was it a handful to fly. Almost like trying to control a wine barrel in the air!

Excellent job on your GEE BEE. I like the base and pylon too. Nice display.

Wow , I was just looking at this model today in my display cabinet . It looks out of place among all of my cars and I was thinking of moving it somewhere else .

great job, planes are cool. so are trucks, ships, tanks. ive ben modeling since 5 yrs old. I hafta switch it up at times.
