R C Mini Cooper

Most of you know that this is really not my thing, but:
My Son-in-law, Service Mgr. for a Chrysler dealer, was talking with the district Diamler-Chrysler rep and the subject of RC cars came up and SIL mentioned that I had painted a couple of RC bodies and that I was a modeler.
Keeping this as short as possible, the rep had had this kit for several years and didn't have the cajones or time to get into it. Asked the SIL if maybe I would be interested in assembling and painting it for him and left the kit for me to look over. $$ hasn't been mentioned yet. Don't have a clue what to charge IF I do it. This may not happen because as I looked thru the kit, it appears that the reciever and servo have to be built in halfway thru the build. Non of the radio components come with the kit.
So, we'll see.

Directions don't look too confusing once you seperate the Japanese from the English. It does get a little intricate, for instance you have to install the gears into the casing and stuff like that.

While exploring this outrageous site! ... I ran across this old thread. Did anything come of it? I am an avid R/Cer (oval racer) and when I saw this thread by geezerman35 it reminded me of this guy that customizes R/Cs. He did the Tamiya Mini.

I didn't realize this was my thread. I'll be taking a look at your link.
That kit still sets on my shelf. S-I-- lost contact with the rep. last I heard, the rep wasn't all that interested in it, but still wanted me to paint the body like the British flag. Rep isn't all that interested, I sure as hell ain't. When he wants it he can send for it, or come and get it.
