40th Anniversary Gift From Wife

Hi guys, Well my wife got me a Mini-Craft 1:16th scale 1931 Ford Pickup as a gift for our Anniversary, well she gave me a receipt for it anyway as it still has to make the trip in the mail.
The thing is, I have never had any dealings with the Mini-Craft models and I was wondering if anyone here might be able to tell me a little something about their products like, are they mold very detailed or are they sloppy, or things like if the tires are plastic or rubber, things of that sort.
Anyway she picked it up for $30 from that " YardSallr.com " site and she was given both a -$5.60 credit for signing up and a -$1.20 discount from the seller for the amount of items she clicked on a photo and "liked" the item so that was a cool deal to get a discount of any price ya know. At any rate the kit was priced at $25 with a $10.90 shipping and with both discounts it ended up costing $30.32. I looked the kit up on ebay and a few other sites and the prices ranged from $42 to the retail $56 so I guess she didn't do to bad if the Mini-craft product is pretty good.

Please give me some input about the Mini-craft so I have some idea what I'm in store for.

Don't know about fit and finish, but when I've seen that one and the sister coupe, the pix on the boxes look good for detail. She will be a beauty. Probably a good idea to test fit pieces, like body on frame and check frame and body for any warpage. Hope others have built these and can offer more help. Best o' luck and have fun!

I have built a few of THESE Mincraft kits. You will ENJOY building it. The fit is good ,& it builds into a pretty nice model.

Thanks for you input Rick! I really appreciate it, I am looking forward to building this kit, especially after your post. It should be here in the next day or so because the person I purchased it from on YardSellr has been watching it via USPS tracking number and it got to my town today. I hoped they would have delivered it today but it didn't come so I'm thinking it should be here in tomorrows mail.
