"I got a call from Steve a few minutes ago, and he got a call saying his house burned down. Nobody was at home, so that is something to be thankful for!! So if you are a prayer person, please send out a bunch to steve and his family. Once he can call me again, he will give me an update, and i will pass it on to all of you.

This is a quote from another board, for those that don't know Steve, "Ollskoolrodder" he is a very nice guy and also belongs to this board. Here is another quote from later in the thread as far as what he may need and a quote from Steve himself...

"I got a message from Steve last night, and between the fire, smoke and water damage, it was a total loss. The insurance company put them up in a motel for now. The company is supposed to do an assessment mid week.
I will let you know updates as i get them.

I am working on getting some "needed" items together to send to them.

If you want to send anything to them, i would recommend....
1) clothes
2) Money
3) non-perishable food
4) paper or foam plates and plastic ware for eating.
5) can opener

"Hey guys...we're at Motel 6 in Dad's town for a few weeks (at least),on Alstate's nickel. I was mistaken when I told Virgil "everything" was lost,we've been picking through stuff yesterday and today,there are a few clothes that might can be washed,Jamie's room is completely obliterated (that's where the fire started),several of Nick's hotwheels and Cars (from the movie Cars) can be cleaned up,and out of 250+ unbuilt kits,six kits came out without a scratch...good thing I like Chevy S10 trucks,cause I have 6 kits of em ...no room to build in the motel...nor am I really in the mood now anyways.

NOBODY was home,like Bear said,that's what's important,and thats why we paid insurance all these years right? (Alstate is trying to weasle out of responsibility though....long story,but they're doin a bit now).

I REALLY appreciate what Virgil asked,about if anyone could lend a hand...and you know I'm a proud Olskooler,but I really ain't in a position to be proud for now,so nothing's asked for or expected,but anything (especially thoughts and prayers) is greatly appreciated. Dunno when I'll be at Mavisdale much to check that PO box now though,LOL,we're 2 hours from it.

Anyways,Motel 6 didn't actually leave the light on before we got here,LOL,but they DO have a "for guests only" PC,for up to 30 minutes use per-sit down,so I'll try and get here and the other sites (I haven't even been on my own board yet,LOL) as I can,update you,my family/friends.

shirts: 16-18 girls
pants: 14/16 to junior 3's
shoes:6-7

Tina:
shirts: 1-2XL
pants: 1-2XL
shoes: depending on brand...9-11 womens (closer to 9 most often)

Olskoolrodderdude:
shirts: mostly medium t-shirts,unless sizing runs a bit small
pants: 33-34 waste/32 length
shoes: I have several pair that weren't in the house,I'm good there

Major update on Olskoolrodder/Steve. A bit earlier this month Steve and his family aquired a new home and is in the process of getting settled in his new digs... He is slowly regaining his model collection through the help of several different guys from around cyberspace and has a few that were salvageable from his old collection. His sprirts seem to be much better and in general much happier.

Thank you to all who may have helped him and his family out, they greatly appreciate it...
