while I don't build those types, I do love that car and kit...nice score! I don't usually build this type either but, the price was right and I had the Testors repop quite a few years ago... Might say trying to relive some of my youth... LOL I will post pic of the car as soon as I can, this will be a rebuilder...

Good score, these are great kits if not somewhat impossible to build due to thier high level of detail and working features. This section of the intructions mentions the '63 Lemans so I'd date the original IMC issue of the kit somewhere around '65. Good luck with your build!

Ron, you are right. IMC kits were kinda high detail for the day. Not many people today want to even build them because of the working parts etc.. I think the main reason is the way the kits were made with those working features....they weren't perfect. You really have to put a little effort into them. The only one I have built is the Touch Tone Terror which is the same as the Little Red Wagon. Most everyone I know that built the kit, has glued the doors shut. The hinges are what scares them. I don't think it was luck for me to get my doors hinged and they swing very nicely and shut nice too. Hmm this kinda makes me think of the need to have an IMC build off! *not that I am ready to build one yet..I have other things to finish first*

I'm starting to wonder if the Monogram Ford GT will build up to this kit. The monogram kit is car number 10 if i'm not mistaken, has only 1 engine , and is in a vintage flat box and art. I have one of those but not this IMC one, IMC also makes a Ford J Car that i've been trying to get my hands on forever.
