The owners of The Brass Armadillo Antique Malls in 5 states have created a brand new site for the collector/dealer in all categories of antiques and collectibles. I am an employee at the Omaha mall and my wife is a dealer at our store.
This new site offers quite a bit! One of the things that has me involved is the fact there are people all over the country getting involved on this site....much like ebay was back when it started out.
Selling on iantique.com is FREE.
Almost all of the items listed in the classifieds are straight from the malls. Some are from individuals, such as yourselves looking to find a buyer or looking for that special item. If you bought something , it's shipped from one of the malls it came from by the staff at the Brass Armadillo. How unique is that?
They added this "job" to our daily grind, to get 3 items out of each dealers case or booth, photograph them and list them on the site....free to the dealers! This boosts sales and makes the merchandise available to a much wider audience.
Anyways.... there is much to say, but I thought some of you might collect things and could find what you want here. They are not direct competition to ebay, since it's not an auction site.....but they are striving to put the "fun" back into the buying and selling like it was before all of the changes which made a lot of people lose interest in online dealings.
I created a group for like minded people. It's for model builders, collectors and dealers. The hopes are to create a good place to obtain models at a decent price without fighting bidders and providing a chance to buy/sell or trade models at prices that are affordable from dealers who are not "keen" to values....but just want to unload their finds. You know when you go to a yard sale or an estate sale and the people selling some models have no idea what the going rates are?....you get a good deal and the seller is happy.....that's the way it should be!
So I hope to see you there to help me get this off the ground!
It would also help me look good to the owners haha!
