I hope some of you guys might be able to help me. I am trying to track down a kit that I had as a kid & try to find another one. The problem is that I barely remember it.
It was a snap together (I think) dune buggy, molded in gold flake plastic. I believe it was 1/32 scale. I do not remember any details of the box art but it may have been a Revell kit (not sure about that though) I remember a one piece chrome engine and separate bucket seats for the front with the rear seat molded in. black plastic tires, chrome rims with plastic axles. IIRC the headlights were on the hood not in the fenders.
Kind of sketchy details I know but I hope it triggers someones memory. If you have one like it and can post pics I would appreciate it. Looking for more solid details so I can start searching for a kit to relive my youth with. This kit would have likely been available in the early to mid eighties.
Thanks.

I think Revell may have made the Super Safari in 1/32 scale. Their 1/25 sure wasnt snap together. Thats the only one I can think of in glod metalflake plastic.

I had a look at the super safari, 95% sure that is not it. I found one that may be the right one but it is only a thumbnail pic & I cannot find any more. laurentiusnet.nl/Manufactures/Revell.htmAbout 1/4 of the way down right above the SWAT van. I cannot make out any details other than the revell logo & "dune buggy". if anyone happened to have this kit in their collections & would be willing to take & post a pic or two I would appreciate it.
