This is a IMC 1946-8 Ford Coupe. I got it from some where and all that was missing was the front suspension. Knowing that the kit was an ill fitting kit since it was introduced I decides to have some fun with it, figuring if I messed up no great loss. First I got the basic body together, then I decided to take the Axe to it. (nothing ventured, nothing gained) The big difference was that on this top, I welded it all back together. (that was a bit scary) Then I channeled the rear over the chassis 6 in. (scale). Painted in H.D. Passion Purple Pearl over black. The Olds grill is the most recent addition and I'm replacing the hinges at this time. Thus brings us up to date. Thanks for looking. Jerry

Today clearing is out of the question, so I decided to give it a wet sand and rub. Hood After rubbing the hood I decided on some pin-striping for the hood and deck You can really see the difference on the door, the roof is wet sanded the rest isn't and the door is rubbed. Before that pic I took this one , a little hard to see but thats the passenger door with a 62 Chevy Bel Air grill reflection. Man I can't wait to see it all in clear, as well as together! Hahaha Jerry

I got a can of my favorite clear, (Plasti-Kote Metal Flake line # 307) and cleared the big purple grape. But before doing that I did get a few outdoor pics. These are after the clear and Rub, etc.. I'm now working on the interior. And this bring us up to date on this build. Jerry

Thanks Geezerman. One of the reasons that instigated the return to this car I think, was I heard that Revell is suppose to bring one out this year sometime, and yes, it supposed to be chopped!
It's already been called a resin body by some dumb judges at one show some years back.
