I am not a normal contributor on this forum, but this one ended up being not TRaKable and wanted it to be seen by some of the members... This is a project I had been thinking about for a long time, but never could fully flesh it out in my head. That is until now... Basically a traditional style hot rod with an exotic but vintage engine. Cab is Lindburg, frame is part Revell and part scratch, the rear suspension is from the Goodguys T, and the wheels are 29 rat rod p/u. And of course the engine is from the Revell AG Ferrari 250 GTO.

Cool project, I'll be watching for updates!! And just why wasn't this TRAKable, its all vintage parts so I don't see a problem with it, but thats just me.

Thanks for bringing this over, Jeff. My kind of modeling. I miss showing off on TRaK. All I can do over there is kibitz. This'll be kool. Really like that engine!

thanks Clay, Jody and Moparmarc, this one was stuck in my head for a while... I have decided to put a little more effort into this one than I have been doing lately, since I am really digging the look that it is taking. Today I made a pitman arm out of some cut up parts of the 32 ford rack and pinion and styrene rod. I also found some nice chrome exhaust tips and will be making a steering box/pedal assembly similar to the one in the double dragster kit. Here is a shot of the pitman arm and exhaust tip.

I must say I do like everything about it, other than the engine lol...but being a Ford guy this is pretty neat to see. Thanks for bringing it over here so I can at least watch you build it. ;D

That's cool Bob, I am glad you dig it other than the engine. I have been building TRaK only for three years now with no exceptions, and this was stuck in my head that whole time so I thought it was time to do it. I had hoped it would fly over there and was upset to learn it wouldn't, but i do understand... Hoping today will see the tranny hump and seating arrangement get done along with any thing else I can jam into my limited free time. I will not have any days off next week as the Pres. day holiday keeps us busey at work, so I need to get two weekends worth of work done today, lol.
