A friend sent me the Revell 1936 Ford 2n1 kit to build for thier build off on thier group. I was very pleased to find out that it was a re-issue of the old maroon Monogram kit I once had as a kid! Well first thing was first, The wife has the 37 ford kit and has been wanting to back date it. So the first priority was to see if I could swap frames and suspension. It was close enough to do! Of coursenow she has a frame with a floor pan molded in for a kit that has the floor pan molded into the bottom of the interior tub. But we will cross that bridge when we get to it! Now a year ago I used the front crossmember suspension off of that kit for a truck, so I still was left needing a front suspension.I wanted something more modern, so decided to scarf the willys kit. Well looking at it, left me thinking the radius on the rear tubs of that kit were close to the radius of the inner fender wells on this kit and they are not perfect, but close enough to be called good. So that left me needing the rear of that kit frame as well! The interior was a different story. The willys door panels are no where neer close. The kits was old fashioned. If I am doing a pro street, I needed something close. Well, the wife and I swapped interior tubs as well. So I just cut off the door panels and that serllted that. Only need slight tweeking. Now the willys tub was close in width and flare, but too short. So I will have to add about 3/4 inch to it. But most of that will be covered up inside by the back interior wall. However on the bottom, it wont be. But I can add the rest of thew tunnel and add some detail. So a lot of mismatching. But yes it is coming together well so far! Jody
