I started this rebuild on TRaK, but I'll post it here for you that don't frequent TRaK. I intended to change the wheels on this older build. Ended up breaking stuff and decided I'd just redo the whole thing. This was a hiboy. I'll channel it this time. Took it alll apart. Scratched a front axle to replace the one I broke, and changed to a suicide front end. Will be replacing the nailhead with a Flathead. After seeing this profile foto, I have moved the engine back a tad.

It seems so precious that I'm almost unable to decide how to build it. probably go easy and try for a nice clean street rod. Ddlova sold it to me. he sent me a model A sedan also. I 'm in DoDah heaven.

I had the same problem with mine. I spent a lot of time just sitting and looking at it before i decided to cut it up, as soon as i did i regretted it but luckily I made it work.

I'm not prone to post mundane redundant photos like several shots of a body in spray bomb primer, but there's a lot of little things that a hardcore builder does in a build that just aren't noticable in a finished model and gets no credit for. This build needed headers. I didn't have any. I know R&R0M has them. but I don't have his catalog. Scale Dreams used to carry them, but they shut down. I had to make my own. I tried a couple of other methods with unsatifactory results, and finally came up with this coated wire version; The header on the left I used as a master and just came out of making a mold of it. I made a couple of molds of the small flanges also. All in case I ever get resin to cure properly, and then I'll have some for a future build. Flanges seem a tad oversize, but I'm not good enough to get them any better, and besides I don't care all that much

here's a pre-finish mock up. I have it done now and the final fotos are in Fotki. I'll probably put it up in the completed section tomorrow.
