Custom GTO

Hey all. I had this idea bouncing around in my head for a while so I decided to see if it would work. I always liked the style of the Monkeemobile except for the goofy phaeton rag top roof. Lots of cutting and fitting and still more body work to go but you get the idea. Here's where I am with it, first coat of primer last night. Wheels are from the Raider's Coach kit. Not sure of a body color yet but I'm thinking metalflake red. What ya think? Comments, suggestions welcome.

I like it & agree that the phaeton was good for TV but not in the real world... I would however cut the hood so it appeared more flat. I think the huge whole in it gets the point across without the grand canyon. Other than that, rock on..!

yeah I hate that rag top, looks dumb. i think your idea is cool though! Let's see this one done, I think it's gonna be neat!

You came up with a great idea Ron. This is a wild combo of the two bodies. Red metalflake should be just right for this too. Gary
