It is .062 solder. It seems to be close for the small block.

Here is the design I came up with for the air bags on my 57. Rubber o-rings around aluminum tube.

wow I've built a few 1;1 air rides and that is an awesome idea...looks very real what size are the o ring please. I'd like to use that idea

The o-rings are #60 1/4" O.D. x 1/8" I.D.

Because the original steering set up got in the way of the headers, I am working on a rack and pinion type setup to give me more room. I wrapped the wire around the tube, covered it with teflon tape and painted it to look like the rubber boot on the end. I need to find my flat black. I still have some details to work on but it is a start.
