I have done it in the past with good results. I need to try and get some glue under the heat shrink between the pipes and push the heat shrink down into it to give it more of a collector look.

I also started on the four link set up. I still have to make a couple of bars for it but it is a start.

Where did you get the tubing to modify the rear end?You just gave me an awesome idea on how to fix a grail that I am building.I quit on it about a month and a half ago.The rear end is drastically affecting my builds stance,and this metal tubing idea of yours looks like a good solution.
BTW,I have a few hobby shops in our area if that is where you got it.

I think they all carry some. Glad that my idea could help, I hope you are able to find some of the tubing.

I still have to make the mounts for the air bags and then the pan hard bar and mounts for that.
