Well I have most of the work on this one a while back but was having a problem masking the center area of the seats so I put it up till I could find some liquid mask. Well I got some about a month ago and this stuff sucks. Here is what I got: This stuff dries thin and is very stiff and brittle and peels back off way to easily. I tried trimming it with a fresh blade but it still peeled off, man I was mad. So I said the heck with it and just free-hand painted the black. Not real happy with the way it turned out but I'm not turning back now. Here are the seats finished up: For those who missed this on the old forum here is a link to the first page of the pics: public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/1/mopar_marcs_models/current_projects/1932-ford-phantom-vickie/

Seats will look good in the yellow body, Marc.
I have had a similar product around for several years. Don't use it. All the same reasons. You'd think it would be great for small details. You don't dare use a good brush. it'll never clean out. I ain't chancing it in any of my airbrushes, not even the junker. Years and years ago (70's) when I was painting bikes, I used a product called spray mask for some flames and I recall it worked pretty good. But haven't been able to make it work on models at all.

Well this stuff dissolves in water so its cleans up easy but it won't stay on anything either, go figure. I managed to get some detail painting done on the fuel cell and battery case and got most of the interior assembled last night. I will snap some pics later today.

Is yours the same brand? The reason I ask is I can't get what I have to stay on while I trim it up with a fresh blade?

I use liquid mask from The Detailer. Works good for me.
