now that i have your attention what is your favorite stripping agent? whatever you use to fix a mucked paint job or strip an old project to start over. i have used oven cleaner and castrol super clean. both work well, but i'm looking to see if there is better. chris

I've been using DOT 3 brake fluid for years with great results. I tried the CSC a few times but it didn't like acrylic and some lacquers. The only think I have found that the brake fluid wouldn't touch was the pre-painted diecast body, had to use some stuff I would not touch with plastic to get that stuff off.

I like to use concentrated Simple Green for stripping chrome. It works well and is non toxic and biodegradable.
