Scrounging around for stuff to build a new project. I came up with these two Parts Pac Ford engines and a body tub that was in some stuff that Delova sent me. I coupled the engines together with a universal joint. Came up with leftover wheels/tires from the defunct KKKKK. I was just getting ready to scratch a frame when Rockin Rodney Rat sent me this one with a bunch of other stuff. He says it was from a Beverly Hillbillies kit. I started right in modifying it. Front suspension will be underslung half leaf springs. I still have to figure it out fully. Rear end from the junk box and scratched springs. I have to do this now to figure out the kickup on the rear of the frame.

I'da probably been ahead of the game had I went ahead and scratched a frame. But this is at least building up some character. I needed to alter it a tad to get the body at the rake I wanted. It was sitting to low and to horizontal.

What I lack in finesse, I make up for in physics defying imagineering. Position of steering box kept me from installing the oil filter on the rear engine. So I tapped into the one on the front. I thought that was pretty cool until I realized the oil had to go two ways. DUH. So I am draining it back to the front engines oil pan.

Lotta little things at this stage of the build. nothing earth shaking, as I dislike posting redundant stuff. But a little more imagineering. I used an old carb out of the junk box as a fuel pump/block for the carb gas lines. And I added a bracket for the alternator so it won't be just hanging off the fan belt. And here's how/where the gas tank will be mounted.

Next post should be in the finished column. Not much left to do except small details and and assembling. I'm in the middle of painting the body and making exhausts. I was going to go with the zoomies that came with the Ford engines, but decided they didn't look 'street' enough. So, I'm making some. I've used this method before, but for some reason these wires are giving me problems. I hope they don't end up looking too hokey !

This is a great concept, and it is nice to see ford motors going in a ford...lol. Great job. I will be looking for the updates.
