I put this one together last year, predominantly from my parts boxes. I had the originally issued kit way back when, and angle chopped it then. The bed had been shortened also, but when I built this version, I shortened it a bit more. There was a lot of paint overall, and it took a few soakings in "Simple Green" to get it all off. I redid the puttying on the chop, and that part of the build was ready to go. Original kit parts are few, and consist of the cab, bed, floor shifter, and the e-brake handle. Cab floor, frame rails, and crossmembers are all made from Evergreen sheet styrene. Semi-elliptical rear springs and the shocks are parts box, as is the modified driveshaft and the quick change and axle housings. The 348 Chevy engine is from the AMT 58 Chevy kit and the headers are scratchmade from parts trees. The gas tank is from the AMT 49 Ford. The grille shell is from the AMT AlaKart, and was modified quite a bit for this build. The dashboard, front axle, wheels and radiator are from the AMT 40 Ford. The cab seat is a modified front seat from the AMT 55 Chevy Nomad. The headlight buckets were made from corn holders. Other parts here and there are from my spare parts boxes. Gary
