I'll be showing it here also for those who don't frequent TRaK. I got a Goodguys 32 kit, but it has a lot of stuff in it that I don't want on this build. I'm aiming for a late 40's/early 50's. basic hot rod with not a lot of speed parts on it. No dropped axle, no bagged rear end, no late model engine, no fat bling wheels. Heres some of the parts I have already done. First thing I did was to make new engine mounts for the salvage yard flathead. After whining about not having any dropped axles and having to scratch one, I find now that I only have 1 stock axle that I previously stole the spring from. So I mated a spring from the salvage yard to it. Also modified the ftr axle to take different wheels. Had to make a rear end using a salvage yard pumpkin and aluminum tubing. And scratchbuilt some springs for it. Used some brass rod for wishbones. Remember, I do a lot of imagineering and things may not be analy correct.

I have the front end pretty much together. Scratched lower water hoses....I usually don't even bother with these. Made some new upper hoses. A little wire, a little tape amd a little more wire. I flood the 'ribs' with superglue and then blot most of it off. Fills in the ribbed look some. Flat black paint and hose clamps and they're good to go Like most everything in the Revell goodguys kit, the steering is not period correct, but it's in there anyway.

Pretty close to getting the body around now. Made an old spoon type gas pedal by flattening a piece of wire and shaping it a bit. Scratched some inner door panels. Using a 40 Ford dash. Didn't know what to do about the ends of the headers, so I made some round mufflers out of tubing and let 'em just hang there )

Love the hanging mufflers! Reminds me of some of my old rides! The 32 is looking real nice, lots of attention to details!
