That looks sharp as usual, whats with the paint? Is this the swirly kind of effect caused by dipping it into oily paint or something? Seems I have heard of it but never really looked into it. Certainly is unique looking.

Thanks jb. Firstly go onto youtube and search hydro-dip or swirl painting. I used a small plastic ice cream tub and acrylic rattle cans. Spray onto the surface the colours you want, that can be acrylic or enamel, and slowly dip the object and withdraw, allowing the excess paint to drip back into the bowl. Leave for about 5-6 hours and hey presto! I've given it a few coats of clear gloss, having used two colours, red and yellow. Here's the bonnet to show the colours.... My test pieces using red, yellow and black acrylic paints............. and the body from above after assembly...........

Nice work there Pat. I like the paint effect on it, makes it stand out from the bass boat metal flake crowd.

Thanks guys. Yes the hydro-dip idea is easy to do and I think the finish is great!

Thanks guys, I picked it up on another site on a Psychedelic Beach Buggy build. After that I searched on YouTube and found a few video's on the subject.
