I didn't know know there was a resin re-pop. Show-rods aren't generally my thing but I've always liked the concept of this thing and wouldn't mind a swing at it. How did you locate it and is it generally available to others? Nice job on it. I like the color variant you chose. It's right for the period and is very snappy looking.

Cheers Bernard. The cost including shipping to the UK was $104AUS. Glenn's ebay site is resinblob64, although this one isn't on there, so contact him on glenn.polky@skymesh.com.au. I've copied you in on this because others on other sites have asked the same question! I love it's weird and wonderful shape! I did an image search on Google and all of them had a black roof, that's real and models! I needed a contrast, to make the combo 'POP' so went for Buttercup Yellow. I also looked at bright red (with the yellow) and two high viz colours, green and yellow before the build.

Pat that is totally kool. I love that car and have been collecting parts here and there to build one myself. I have already restored or rebuilt two of them, and I ordered some parts from those same aussie guys a few years ago to augment a partial build I have acquired. I also bought their copy of the display base and trophy stuff (THE most elaborate trophy of any in any kit I have ever seen, bar none, and by a mile). Great to see your build here, and I love the unorthodox color scheme you dreamed up!

Cheers jb, it's good to see you here as well. Thanks for your comments and info about the subject. After advice I've bought a Molotow 'Chrome' pen and had it delivered yesterday. I have tried it out on some scrap plastic and it's perfect for a resin kit as it really does give the chrome finish that you don't get from a resin kit without adding other plastic kit parts. Here I've tried the pen out! Rims, exhausts, rocker boxes, radiator grill and front axle.

those pens are amazing, I did not believe the hype and then I got one, I believed the hype then. and the more amazing thing about them is that the finish seems to withstand handling a little, doesn't really decrease the shine at all. I have found that to be the main drawback of most chrome systems: too fragile for handling much.

Yes jb, your right about fragile for handling. I'm building an Audi A4 DTM Racer at the minute and the wheels backs and Audi rings are not chromed on the chrome sprue so used the pen! the rest of the chrome sprue is flaky to the touch so using the pen again!
