I used a 1964 AMT Mercury kit to build this model. I have been looking for a 1963 kit for years with no luck so I had to go this route. I scratch built the grille/ front bumper and also the taillight panel. I had to modify the front of the body to accept the new grille. I made the decals. It took 164 hours to complete. The paint is bottle model master acryl shot through a Paashe vl airbrush.

So excellent! One of my fave color combos and a true classic. Exhausts, decals real racing interior . . . it's all there!!!! Thanx a bunch. In maybe '66 (?) the AMT company put out a 3-in-1 Merc with a racing interior too, as well as the more common (reissued) Ford Galaxie.

Here are a couple of shots of the interior.
