That looks good and a bit different which is a good thing! I like how the color fits on that Pickup and gold scallops are a nice touch. Stance is just right and I like your wheel and tire combo. Even if I'm not a fan of chrome trim that's painted body color and probably myself I would have put some BMF on window trim here, it actually works like this surprisingly well and it sure looks like the chrome trim doesn't need to be covered in BMF here. Very nice work.

Very nice taste in paint!! I like most of it, grille/headlights a bit odd. I have a few of the unbuilt kits back from when I had the passion. The '53 AMT had a lot of extra custom parts and along with the '56(?) pickup from Revell made for great models. Thanx!

Thanks Barron. I agree with the comments about the grille. The good thing is that if it keeps looking weird, I should be able to easily swap it out.

A lotta folks talk about "period correct", but this build exploits the original kit and comes up with a result that's both really nice and "period-correct". Since the kit is from the period then it serves as a good guide if that's where you want to take it. So why fight it? Very nice indeed!

Even wothout a section or chop , this in the day is a "Blue Wrench" Custom . Rolled pans , Fins , and all the other right stuff makes this one spectacular before the "Re-Sale Red" and Gold Scalloped Paint Job . "Where's the keys " ? Thanx ..
