That's nice , I love the lines of that body style and the simple side trim looks good ! With white walls and bullet caps it'll be really cool !

Your work is first class, so a new model brings smiles. I like the lines of the fastback, tho Chevy was behind Ford in a smooth side look. Here's to what will be another really classy custom. I'm especially interested in how the finished body will look with paint and maybe decals. Thanx for it all.

Not for the squeamish! This is truly embarrassing. As I was writing my post for the start of this w.i.p. I had left my work lamps on, the Chevy’s body raised close to one of them to get the right lighting and photo angle. After posting I went back into my work room to find this!!!!: There’s just enough damage to the right fender to mean the body is toast as well as the hood. So stupid of me! I’m too disheartened to tackle the whole thing a second time right now, so I’ll move on to another project and get back to this with a second kit, perhaps later this year. Thanks for all the comments and suggestions. Sorry for the false alarm! B.

That's a shame , but rest assured you are not alone . I painted a body once in an unheated shed when it was around 40 degrees out ( freezing for Florida ! ) and lowered a lamp down close to it to keep it warm while drying . While I was in the house drinking some anti - freeze I completely forgot about until about an hour later . Suddenly I jumped up and ran to the shed only to find a nice painted blob of plastic melted to my workbench ! I never would've believed it could happen and I've never forgotten it .

Sad for sure, we're regularly reminded of being human!! If it's just the body and the rest is OK, couldn't another body do? Maybe just a gray primered, trim free one? Or maybe the coupe. At any rate, your work is so good, the next model choice will be as good...and we'll "oooooh and ahhhh." Thanx!

Thanks for all the comments. I'll get back to this in a few months once I'm over the initial shock of my major screw up. In the meantime I'm in the middle of a Therapy Build that I started 3 days ago and hope to finish within the next 2. A simple Deuce roadster, just what I need about now. Here's a teaser:
