This is a clone, view the link to see what kit I started with. It's been a fun little road! It's not perfect and I knew it wouldn't be, but I wanted to put this truck on my shelf for a long time! I built it to look as much like the box art as possible and never had a single original part to start with. I want to thank Dave Fletcher for the kit to start with (Early Iron Issue) , Craig Turner for the Replicas and Miniatures Scuba gear and Dave Neighbors for the front rims. I also want to thank everyone who has helped me with hints or ideas along the way. Please see the link to see what was done, the photos are from "newest" to oldest. public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/1/2/finished-models/fomoco/

I agree w/ mrmustang, for not having any original parts it looks awesome. I'd like to clone the Boss-A-Bone kit (another '29 pickup) . Remember that one? I've seen them bid up to $100.00 or more on ebay. I built it when I was thirteen or so.

Superb job there,Bob.I now know (thanks to you) where to get the scuba stuff you have pictured with your finished Blue Beetle.I got their catalogue today. It may be a clone, but I think that you nailed it!!!!It makes me want to restore my "free" glue bomb Blue Beetle that I received from a friend from the land down under.Great work!!!
