Real one from talking to the Grey Beards in the Modifiers was described as "brutal, primitive and handled scary squirrelly". A friend of the driver said " it was like trying to ride a piece of butter on a hot grill" Most seem to laughingly recall it had a shiny chrome cap on the coolant tank. The model s power is a Revell Caddy I cast the parts to convert it to a 1957 Oldsmobile 371 V-8. Front and rear suspension is a mix of Atlantis Quick change rear, front and rear springs, shocks and radius rods all attached to scratched cross members.
The Moon style tank on the front is a water tank for engine coolant. Fuel tank, hand pressure pump AND Battery is next to the driver. Paint, tee shirt on push bar and lettering match the pic taken at Hatfield-Hi Speedway on opening day 1957.

Very cool model Paul. No showboat this one, just loads of real-life detail.
