I originally built this about 10 years ago. I was never happy with the finished product, so I decided to tear it apart and start over.
It was originally red, but I had major fitting issues, and the front bumper never fit right. It also sat as high as a 4 X 4 truck. I'll bet I grinded, sawed, or sanded a few ounces off of the total weight trying to get it to fit on the chassis correctly. I still think it sits a bit high, but I couldn't help it anymore and was getting so frustrated by it, I was going to put it up for awhile. I couldn't get the headlights to fit back in, either, so I just tinted the covers and used them. I hate not finishing anything, so that wasn't an option.
The paint is Krylon true blue with a clear pearl with tiny metal flakes in it, but you really can't see that in the photos. I had to make my own stripes for it as well. I just used white decal paper with the same pearl clear sprayed over that, then they were cut out. As you can see, I had help taking pictures this morning.

Great color. The work on it's stance shows. Paul

Great color. The work on it's stance shows. Paul It would still be about "6 fingers" between the tire and wheel well. Not acceptable in real like. I think my Mustang (2001) has 3 fingers between the tire and wheel well.

Still looks good! The only late Mustang I ever build was the Revell 2008 Bullit Anniversary Edition form my wife. Paul

Nice looking build Duece. Too bad you couldn’t get it down like you wanted. Can’t imagine how night it was before.
