Finally finished my '41 Plymouth gasser conversion. I ditched the supplied small block and fitted a Chevy big block and mounted it several scale inches further back in the frame. This meant I had to cut the front out of the interior tub and panel in with plastic card. The body has been chopped about a bit too - I raised the front lower edges of the front wings and added air vents to the sides of the bonnet along with a hole for the bug catcher. The rear wheel arches have been radiused and the running boards cut off. After two coats of primer, I sprayed the body silver and finished off with a couple of wet coats of metallic green - no lacquer or polish. The wheels, tyres, front suspension, Moon tank, roll bar and bug catcher all came from my bits box. The exhaust headers actually came with the kit, but took some careful heat bending to get them to line up nicely with the front wings. Green Mamba decal by Slixx.
